Privacy Policy
Version 0.1 (draft)• One document covers the Snapooth app and all Snapooth web surfaces.
1. What this policy covers
This one policy covers the Snapooth app and all Snapooth websites. It explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what happens when it's deleted.
2. What we collect
- Account information — your email address, display name, and avatar if you set one; your sign-in method (Google or email).
- Event data — the events you create, their configuration and styling, and your purchase history.
- Photos — photos captured at events through the kiosk or contributed by guests, together with technical photo metadata.
- Device and security data — device identifiers, IP addresses, and sign-in records. We collect these to prevent fraud and abuse of the platform.
3. How we use it
We use this information to run your events, deliver photos to guests, process payments, provide support, send the notifications you've opted into, and keep the platform safe. We don't sell your personal information.
4. Photos and event guests
The event host controls their event's photos. Snapooth processes photos on the host's behalf to provide the service. Guests who collect their photo via QR code do so without creating an account. Where a host allows anonymous guest contributions, the host is responsible for making guests aware that photo sharing is taking place at their event, as set out in our Terms of Service. Contributors only ever see the photos they personally took — never other guests' photos or the full event gallery.
5. How long we keep things
- Photos— kept for your tier's retention window (with paid extensions available), then permanently deleted.
- Event data — remaining event data is permanently wiped 90 days after the event.
- Purchase records — kept permanently, as required for financial record-keeping. Amounts are recorded exactly as charged.
- Security records — device identifiers, IP addresses, and acceptance records are retained as permanent evidence for fraud prevention and legal compliance, and are not included in routine data wipes.
6. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time. Deletion removes your personal information from your account record; purchase records and security records are retained as described above. Account deletion is permanent.
7. Who we share with
We share data only with the service providers needed to run Snapooth — payment processors (who handle your card details; we never see or store them), and our cloud hosting and storage providers. Each processes data only to provide their service to us.
